What is Scientists and Innovators in Schools?
Scientists and Innovators in the Schools (SIS) is a volunteer-based program that helps address British Columbia's need for more scientists, engineers, technologists and technicians to promote students' interest in these areas. Our goal is to inspire students with exciting, in-school presentations by real scientists. The program is offered to Grades K–12 everywhere in British Columbia. We are looking for enthusiastic people to become part of our program.
What will you do?
A volunteer's goal is to use their expertise and knowledge to stimulate interest in the sciences in an exciting and fun way. SIS provides training, support and will reimburse all costs incurred during school visits, including travel, accommodation and presentation materials.
